The looped trail race course starts and finishes in the Runner’s HQ, so competitors will launch to a cacophony of supporter’s cheers and music, before heading onto the first km of sealed path through picturesque woodland. The real trails (and trail race) begin shortly after, as the route winds its way around the old miner’s path and Valley lakes before joining the stunning track in the shadow of the Dare Mountain ridgeline. The runners will then be greeted by a speed section through a mixture of secluded woodland and streamside trail, before beginning the climb to the start of the ridgeline. Outstanding views await as the route reaches ‘Y Ddraig Goch’ (The Red Dragon flag), before another winding speed section loops around through ancient forest to the finish line.
